Border Leicester Sheep

The Border Leicester breed was founded in 1767 in England. They are said to have been introduced to the United States by George Washington. The Border Leicester is regal and alert with it's distinctive Roman nose and long ears. Both ewes and rams are generally calm, easy to handle, and a pleasure to work with. They are hardy and well muscled. Ewes are good mothers and heavy milkers.
